GmbH, the German fashion label, and ASICS, the legendary Japanese sportswear manufacturer release three different colorways of the retro running sneaker GEL-Kayano 5, a silhouette first released in 1999. Inspired by robotics, prosthetics, and orthopedic materials, the GmbH creative directors Benjamin Huseby and Serhat Isik update the original design. Each colorway reflects the medical inspiration, as well as the carefully selected materials, which replicate hard, soft, organic and synthetic tissue. With 25-years on the market, the GEL-Kayano 5s reign has just begun. This is the Lichen Rock colorway.
